Mirror Mirror Off the Wall: Tonal Offers Trade-In Deal for Former Lululemon Mirror Users

Editor’s note: This article was updated to reflect new information about Lululemon’s support for Mirror technology.

At-home gym brand Tonal is launching a trade-in deal targeting Lululemon customers with Mirror technology. Lululemon announced it would discontinue sales of its Studio Mirror product when it teamed up with Peloton in September 2023 but the retailer is continuing to provide support for existing devices.

Beginning Dec. 18, 2023, qualifying customers can receive $250 off their purchase of a Certified Refurbished Tonal Trainer, a free one-year membership (valued at $719) and complimentary removal of Mirror devices from their homes.

Additionally, former Mirror coach Lance Parker, an ex-professional soccer player and certified personal trainer, will join Tonal as a guest coach, and the company promises that “another Lululemon Studio favorite” will be joining in January 2024. Tonal has been moving into traditional retail; Best Buy recently began offering its products to online shoppers.

After acquiring Mirror in 2020, Lululemon announced plans in April 2021 to expand its shop-in-shop strategy for the fitness technology to more than 200 locations. At-home fitness got a major boost during COVID but consumer enthusiasm has waned since the pandemic’s end.
