Kroger Marks Hispanic Heritage Month with $1 Million Donation

Hispanic Heritage Month 2023

The Kroger Co. Foundation has awarded $1 million in grants to organizations empowering and advancing the Hispanic community as it marks Hispanic Heritage Month.

“We launched the Racial Equity Fund in 2020 to catalyze innovative approaches that help create stronger communities,” said Keith Dailey, Group VP of Corporate Affairs at Kroger and President of the Foundation. “These recent grant recipients reflect a group of dedicated organizations that are committed to creating lasting change in the Hispanic community.”

The grant recipients include:

  • Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF): Through Foundation funding, the HHF will activate its Latinos on Fast Track (LOFT) Network via an innovative challenge to address food insecurity in Latino communities and support local Latino entrepreneurs in starting food-related businesses;
  • Hispanic Federation (HF): Foundation funding will help the HF expand its Digital Equity Centers initiative, including digital skills training, sectoral workforce development and campaigning for digital equity; and
  • United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC): Support from the Foundation will help USHCC strength its supplier development programming and launch the USHCC Supplier Avanzando program.
