Pop Mart, the designer toy and entertainment brand, is opening two permanent stores in Los Angeles as it continues its U.S. expansion. The brand strategically selected LA because of its growing fan following on the west coast, and will use the stores to give collectors access to exclusive produce releases, limited-edition products and unexpected collaborations.

Known for toy characters like Molly, Hirono, The Monsters, SKULLPANDA and many others, Pop Mart has an established global presence, including more than 450 stores in over 30 countries as well as 2,300 blind box vending machines, which the brand calls Robo Shops. However, the two Los Angeles Stores, located in Westfield Century City mall and Glendale Galleria, are its sixth and seventh permanent stores in the U.S. Pop Mart opened its first U.S. location at New Jersey’s American Dream mall in September 2023.

Pop Mart will host a grand opening event for the Westfield Century City flagship on February 10, spotlighting Libby Frame, who designed the brand’s recent hit series Peach Riot. The celebration will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by EVP of Real Estate Luis Barrientos, followed by a meet-and-greet with Libby Frame, roundtable discussion and audience Q&A. Although there is not a firm opening date set for the Glendale Galleria store, Pop Mart reported that its doors will open some time this month.

“Following the recent success of Westfield Valley Fair, we are delighted to expand our presence in the Los Angeles area with two new stores at such historically rich locations,” said Larry Lu, Head of Pop Mart North America in a statement. “We are proud to open our largest store to date in Westfield Century City, and for the exciting presence of the artist behind one of our most popular recent releases at the grand opening event.”
