Radio Flyer will Land in Chicago with First Branded Storefront

Radio Flyer is opening its first branded store in the Chicago area this fall to offer consumers unique services and experiences.

Radio Flyer, the maker of the Original Little Red Wagon and other ride-on vehicles for children, will open its first retail store in Chicago this fall.

Despite its 106-year history and expansive wholesale retail presence, this is Radio Flyer’s first foray into branded brick-and-mortar. The location, scheduled to open in November 2023 at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill., will give customers access to a robust brand experience where they can browse Radio Flyer’s entire product line, including stroller wagons, tricycles, scooters, go-karts, bikes and more. Store visitors also will get exclusive access to 60+ new products and gift items ahead of the holiday season.

Other unique features of the store include:

  • Product customization and personalization;
  • A test track where kids can get hands-on experience with Radio Flyer vehicles;
  • The Flyer Bike Shop experience, where adults and kids can get unique services such as professional assembly, custom bike and accessory fittings and more; and

  • A service center equipped to fix bikes and wagons.

“We are excited to bring our FUNomenal customer service experience to life through our new retail store, delighting fans with our award-winning products,” said Robert Pasin, Chief Wagon Officer at Radio Flyer in a statement. “When my grandpa built the first Radio Flyer wagon 106 years ago in his Chicago garage, he always dreamed of creating a space for families to experience the joy of the Radio Flyer brand. I am overjoyed to open our first store and let our customers experience all that we have to offer, whether it’s a kid looking for their first tricycle or a kid at heart looking for their first electric bike.”
