Victoria’s Secret and Pink have launched their first collections of intimates for women with disabilities, called VS & Pink Adaptive. The brand’s parent company, Victoria’s Secret & Co., partnered with GAMUT Management, a consulting and talent management company working with and for people with disabilities, to develop the go-to market strategy surrounding the collection.
To develop VS & Pink Adaptive, the brands tapped direct feedback from people with disabilities through wear testing, focus groups, feedback panels and more. The collections are based on the most popular intimate lines from both Victoria’s Secret and Pink, including Victoria’s Secret’s Body by Victoria and Pink’s Wear Everywhere. Items feature magnetic closures, sensory-friendly fabric, fully adjustable and convertible front straps, period panties and more. Items start at $16.50 for panties and $36.95 for bras, and are now available online and in select stores.
“From development to marketing, women with disabilities were at the forefront of bringing VS & Pink Adaptive to life,” said Lydia Smith, Chief Diversity Officer at Victoria’s Secret in a statement. “We’re pleased to continue to honor, welcome and champion all women in such an authentic way through this new collection.”
Embracing People with Disabilities Across the Brand Journey
Victoria’s Secret and Pink are the first intimate brands to earn the GAMUT Seal of Approval for intimates — the only certification in the market that signifies authenticity and inclusion of people with disabilities in the development and marketing of adaptive products and services. The emphasis on adaptive fashion helps reflect the company’s evolved brand vision mission of celebrating women of all body types, sizes and abilities.
Victoria’s Secret is the latest of several brands launching adaptive collections: actress Selma Blair is collaborating with designer Isaac Mizrahi on an accessible fashion line exclusively for QVC and Nine West is collaborating with Kohl’s to bring an expanded collection of accessible fashions online.
